The Commonwealth Commerce Center started many years ago as an automotive manufacturing facility. Where the current Atrium is located is the original building and is approximately 100 years old.

The building became an office building housing an engineering company. This company kept growing. This company expanded the building twice over the years. The first expansion included where the current leasing office is located. The second expansion included the ballroom area.
